To prevent users from logging on to MRI for Windows or MRI for the Web, you can temporarily disable logins to one or both platforms. Disabling user logins is useful when you need to perform system-level maintenance, such as upgrading a database.
When user logins are disabled and a user other than a system administrator attempts to log on, a message appears to inform the user that logins have been disabled by the system administrator.
Note
These options are only available if you are logged on as SYSADM or if your user has super administrator rights.
To disable user logins, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that the users are logged out of all MRI databases.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Click Sessions.
4. Select the Web Login Disabled check box to disable user logins for MRI for the Web.
5. Select the Windows Login Disabled check box to disable user logins for MRI for Windows.
6. Click Save.
7. When you want to enable users to log on again, clear the check boxes you selected in Step 4 and 5.
