Copying Web Services Classes

If you are creating more than one Web Services class that will have similar information and access rights, you can create a new class by copying and modifying an existing class.

Note

You must have Modify Roles permissions to copy a Web Services class. Refer to Adding and Maintaining Users and Access Rights for more information.

 

To copy an existing Web Services class, follow these steps:

1.         Go to Classes.

2.         Click the Web Services tab.

3.         In the Database field, select the database that contains the class you want to copy.

4.         Select the Web Services class you want to copy.

5.         Click Copy.

6.         In the Copy Web Services Class dialog box, complete the following fields:

        Name—Enter a unique name for the new Web Services class limited to 20 characters.

        Description—Enter a description for the new Web Services class limited to 40 characters.

        Send to Database—Select the database to contain the new class.

7.         Click Copy.

8.         To modify any of the functions for the new Web Services class, refer to Adding and Maintaining Web Services Classes.
