If you are creating more than one entity class that will have similar access rights, you can create a new class by copying and modifying an existing class.
Note
You must have Modify Roles permissions to copy an entity class. Refer to Adding and Maintaining Users and Access Rights for more information.
To copy an existing entity class, follow these steps:
1. Go to Classes.
2. Click the Entity tab.
3. In the Database field, select the database that contains the class you want to copy.
Note
If you only have access to one database, it is selected by default.
4. Select the entity class you want to copy.
5. Click Copy.
6. In the Copy Entity Class dialog box, complete the following fields:
▪ Name—Enter a unique name for the new entity class limited to 20 characters.
▪ Description—Enter a description for the new entity class limited to 40 characters.
▪ Send to Database—Select the database to contain the new class.
7. Click Copy.
8. To modify any of the access levels for the new class, refer to Adding and Maintaining Entity Classes.
