Restoring a Deleted User

You can use Security Console for Web to restore a previously-deleted SaaS user. The User ID, First Name, and Last Name fields will be restored. Other information, such as roles, classes, and secondary user IDs, must be reassigned manually.

Note

You must have Create User permissions to restore a deleted user. Refer to Adding and Maintaining Users and Access Rights for more information.

This feature is available for SaaS clients only. On-premise MRI clients cannot restore a deleted user.

To restore a user previously deleted from MRI, follow these steps:

1.         Go to Users.

2.         If you have super administrator rights for an on-premise client, enter the appropriate Client ID in the Client ID Override field in the user profile .

3.         Click More Actions, and then select Restore.

4.         In the Restore Deleted User dialog box, select one or more users to restore.

5.         Click Select.

6.         The temporary password for the user appears. Note this password, and then click Close.

Note

This password is not saved in any other location outside the dialog box. Be sure to copy it or write it down in order to provide it to the user. If you accidentally close the dialog, use the Generate Temporary Password option to create another new password.

7.         The user is restored and their user record displays.
