Managing Database Security

Use the Database tab to activate or deactivate security for a database, and to specify a global role that defines the minimum security level of all users in the a database.

Note

You must have Database Maintenance permissions to modify database security. Refer to Adding and Maintaining Users and Access Rights for more information.

 

To manage database security, follow these steps:

1.         Go to Database.

2.         If you have super administrator rights, enter the appropriate Client ID in the Client ID Override field in the user profile .

Note

The database list is filtered depending on the Client ID.

 

3.         Select the database in the left panel.

Note

If you only have access to one database, it is selected by default.

 

4.         In the Global Role field, select a role to be assigned to every user with access to the selected database.

Note

The Global Role field can be used to define the minimum security role of all users in the specified database.

 

5.         Select the Security Enabled check box to activate database security, or clear the check box to allow all MRI users complete access to the database.

6.         Click Save.
