About Site Security

The Sites tab allows Distributive Processing users to manage site mapping and control the flow of data between their home office and remote sites. This tab is only available to clients that use Distributive Processing, and it can be accessed by any administrator with access to Security Console for the Web.

Note

This tab includes all of the functionality available on the Site Map Maintenance menu in Security Console for Windows, with the exception of DOS site functionality and a few other rarely-used fields. These options are still available in Security Console for Windows. For instructions on setting up site mapping in Security Console for Windows, refer to the "Creating and Maintaining the Site Map" section of the MRI X.5 System Administration Guide, available on the myMRI client portal.

The Sites tab is split into three subtabs in the upper-left corner: Sites, Entities, and Users.

The Sites subtab shows a list of configured sites in a given database, and allows the administrator to add sites, edit sites, and assign entities and users to a site.

The Entities subtab shows a list of entities in a given database, and allows the administrator to manage site assignments for each entity.

The Users subtab shows a list of users in a given database, and allows the administrator to manage site assignments for each user.
